Lori Martinek's multi-faceted management experience (agency, corporate, media and non-profit) has made her
a sought-after business and branding strategist and consultant. As the owner of an award-winning marketing
and public relations firm, an entrepreneurial publishing company and now MBAsylum, Martinek knows how to
inspire - and help her clients create - personal and organizational success.
Martinek is an accomplished speaker and a consultant and coach to CEOs,
small business owners, community leaders and elected officials.
She has counseled new and growing businesses and is a former president, board member and adviser to
chambers of commerce, charitable foundations and a wide range of non-profit ventures.
Martinek holds a Master's degree from Northwestern University's highly-competitive Medill School of Journalism,
and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has served as a new business development and marketing counselor for SBA-funded Small Business Development Centers in both Illinois and Arizona.
Martinek began her career at Foote, Cone & Belding Worldwide in Chicago and then went on to create retail
marketing success as a national marketing manager for Wickes Lumber Company. She built a successful
marketing firm from the ground up and today it serves a national client base. Lori's publishing credits
include articles on management and marketing for national publications and bylines in major newspapers.
Her first book, Be the Bulb! will be published in 2008 by Herlife Publishing,
